My First Book Is Released!
Recently I finished writing a book called "A Philosophically Technical View Into Generative AI". This is my first book and I am extremely happy with how it turned out.
Where can I read it?
The book is available to read online for free at genai-book.kyrovert.com.
You can also download the PDF or Markdown files from the Other formats section.
What is this book about?
I'm a programmer who has really struggled to adapt to AI-assisted development. It's not that I'm inflexible—in fact, I use AI for work all the time. But as time went on, I began to realize that something was wrong with the way we use AI, and that it wasn't something we could simply adapt to.
The book explores many of the problems that can arise when we delegate coding to AI. I’ve tried to explain them in simple terms because I’m not writing only for technical readers. Some—if not most—of the principles I discuss can also be applied to other fields. Keeping the book focused on concepts rather than technical details has also helped me avoid fallacies and make more carefully crafted arguments.
There’s no denying that AI has had a major impact on the industry and on our workflows. But much of what we see online is hype. Software is a liability; it’s an emergent ecosystem. If you delegate critical thinking—including problem-solving—to AI, you risk undermining the very characteristics that made you who you are. You may become more productive in the short term, but lose that productivity in the long term—or even the medium term.
